    For any serious welding on frames, bumpers, sliders ect, i would recommend something with gas instead of using the gas less flux wire.

    Get a Hobart. If you plan on using this piece of equipment for a few years save up as much as you can and buy as nice of a welder as you can. Buy it once and move on to the next tool.

    I say Miller but whatever, look around on craigslist and see what you can find used. My dad has that Hobart from Tractor supply and it is what it is. For sticking light metal together for light farm use ect. Welding with gasless flux is a pain in the ass and looks like shit any way you do it.

    Id was looking at miller Mig welders. I was definitely going to get one with gas. Flux looks like bird shit. If I really wanted to go all out I would save up for one that did tig also but I really don't wanna drop $2000-3000.

    Just because he said Mig doesnt mean he has to use gas. Most that buy the litte Hobart use the gasless flux wire because they dont want to buy a gas bottle.

    Ha ha, i wish! Mine is same color but minus the machine gun. It's a truck from over in afghanistan i believe. I found it on the interwebs and since it was almost identical to mine i thought it would be cool. Its probaly a Hi-lux though.
