I think this bulletin is what is wrong with my truck. It's about rear differential whine. Pretty sure I'll not be covered under warranty at 74k miles. Anybody know what the fix is? Thanks

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
The fix is R&R the 3rd member. I've attached the entire PDF. If you mean what is specifically wrong in the differential assembly, I don't know. Guessing a run of lousy bearings or improperly shimmed bearings. Just a guess.

Got a clip of the noise, or can you make a clip/movie of the noise?

im on my 3rd diff under warranty, there is no fix. "just deal with it" is the only solution. only does it when coasting around 58mph

Which noise am I listening for? Is it that droning sort of hum towards the end (last 1/4) of the video clip?

I suppose if you don't tow or haul ass up hills in 4WD, the diff may outlast the rest of the truck. I'd say it depends on what causes the noise, though. There's a few way a rear end can fail, some are slow and noisy, some are sudden and will strand you.

Depending on what you do with the truck, I'd be tempted to either find another 3rd member from a yard and swap it in (time consuming the first time, but it's not hard) or else have ECGS (East Coast Gear Supply) build you a new one (or rebuild your core). Could be a chance to upgrade to a better gear ratio, too.

    I've got my eye on 4.10's F&R. :)

Yes it's the sound towards end as I approached highway speeds. No fwd, no towing or ass hauling.
