Yeah 2nd gens only need the rear union for the diff and the breather part. The fronts already in the engine compartment. Don't know about 1st gens.

I think you had told me this before. If so, my apologies for forgetting. I will save this info & I look into that option also.

    Thanks!

I'd say that's the best bet since your 2wd. I was going to go that route but only one company makes them for 1st gen and they are $1,200!

My 93 doesn't have the breather on the front pumpkin. Don't know about 1st gen Tacomas though.

Second generation Tacoma needs a part that connects the diff to hoses, and then the part that connects the hose to a two-way breather. If you use the one that came with the diff, it is still a one-way breather, and makes it useless to do the mod.

I know I'm a couple days late on this reply but I'll be moving to Key West by the end of October. I'm hoping there is more that just myself for TW members.

    Well, I had the 5100's set @ 2.5" & I can say that:

    1) I noticed NO difference in ride harshness between 1.75 & 2.5. I drove it up to 90MPH on the Turnpike after the alignment was done & I felt no wandering at all & today was pretty windy on the Turnpike.

    2) I was able to get the alignment "within specs". I know that the setting is not dead-on but atleast within range & I am happy with that. I saw the tech working on it & he did his best to get it to these numbers.

Let me know what you think:

PS. Photobucket is down so I uploaded these in my gallery. First time doing this so I hope it works.

I got the union, to screw into the diff, and then hose from Macko and ran it to under the hood. Got one of those small specter filters from advanced and put the hose in it with a hose clamp. Made a little bracket with a piece of metal and screwed it onto the firewall area.

I can snap pics tomorrow when it's daylight for interested parties.

Life besides TW?! Yea right lol. Nah I'm still in the Air Force, got the wife and kid so TW is more of a hobby.

Well I'm not there yet but once I move I'll be there for 3 years. Just hit me up with a PM if and when you guys decide though.

Don't mind the old CB speaker wire left that there for just in case I decided to redo it measures.

    Fink. That looks great!

I'm liking those LR UCA's. Even though I am within specs I may still buy those UCA's. Very nice job man!

Yeah...think I saw that after you had just done it a while back. May go a similar route, but hitting puddles, I think it would get just as wet under my hood. There seems to always be mud up there...no matter what I do...

may end up using the lines to the engine bay and place them near the front diff and trans breathers...I figure if it gets wet there, I got bigger problems than changing diff fluid anyway...
