Im loving the new clutch. Only one issue and im not even sure if its an issue. The clutch squeaks/ squeals when starting out in 1st, shifting to 2nd and sometimes shifting to 3rd. And its loud. Not sure if that's normal because its ceramic or what? Im at just over 1000 miles on the new clutch. So its past the break in period. Does yours make the type of sound?

 

No it doesn't. If it's squealing you have a miss aligned pilot bearing I think. Or throw out bearing. It's one of them. Must have gotten jarred when you pulled it back together.

I do love the clutch tho myself. Does great.

 

Damn. Really? To me it really sounds like the clutch plate engaging. To describe it, it sounds similar to breaking traction on asphalt. That squeal. I hope its not a bearing

Did you resurface your flywheel?

 

Yeah il take a video in a minute. Yeah I resurfaced the flywheel

 

The biggest thing I had was just over all vibes from my solid mounts. I also found it works better when you rev it much higher then I used to to start the engage and hold the clutch half way a tad longer.

But if there is a bit a chatter that's normal for a 6 puck clutch like ours. But it shouldn't be super loud. If there a lot of squeal it's the bearings out of alignment.
