no..no he can't..if he knew the science behind how a balanced audio cable worked..he would be totally fine with just a nice double shielded 20-30 buck cable. haha man what an idiot hahahaha

I can't remember the details but there was some reasoning behind it haha

Our ukuleles were built by the same people, when I visited to pick my uke up they said he got some supah expensive custom cord that was meant for a certain audio setup for his uke

    anyways, evening gents

I dropped a dumbell on myself today :woot:

it not worth it..a balanced cable literally cancels out noise..its what its designed for. It uses polarity/phase to eliminate it. they all do that..haha

and thank god we all know it was just a 5lber..walk it off buddy..walk it off...haha

owe dude! Living up to it's name "dumb"bell I guess.

The snake oil is strong with that cable :D. As long as EMF is out of the picture the sound will be the same. Although copper vs silver cable does make a difference...

meh, all in the ears of the listener :D All silver wire is too bright and sibilant for me. In speakers it's no issue, headphones where everything is so sensitive is another I've found. I've always been a verdict by trial, and I know what i've heard placebo or not I guess... Get into the cryo, and that's where I draw the line haha

A lot Ben. Cause in the long run you need a good DAC and a good amp to really use those headphones..those aren't just something you plug into your phone.

Not at 300 ohms or whatever those ones are! haha. I've never looked into that stuff but I always thought some of the 32 ohm house speakers you find were high! All my speakers in my car are 4 ohm. I actually have know idea what a normal pair of headphones is rated for...

The headphones above are 50 ohm and can handle up to 3000mw. So they are current hungry! The 300 ohm headphones types are not current hungry usually so it's always a battle to ampp different types of headphones properly. The 300 ohm headphone will still make sound out of a phone or ipod jack but just will be tough to get them up to normal volume or actual potential. Your speaker are low ohm but think of how much current you need to move that big cone! There's no need for them to be high resistance.

Ben you can find the Fostex T50rp for around 100 bucks I think. The cool thing about them is they still sound ok out of a phone or ipod, I recommend them cuz they offer so much room to grow if you want.

IMO if you want to get the best "budget" setup there can be had look at these links below. I use the ODAC for my speaker setup and headphones, it's very good. I've heard gear in the thousands and this setup gets you 90 percent of the top of the line stuff.

Yep haha! 450 watts split between two 12's that are wired together at 2 ohms. Then my 4 6x9's are wired on their own channels with 75 watts each. They get loud...

These are the headphones I rock. I like them for running and lifting since there is no cable to get in my way.

Nice! Ugh I've been meaning to get a dedicated multi channel amp for my truck but just never got to it after I got my sub setup and other truck mods took priority... My deck can do all the crossovers so I could run a amp channel for my tweets, mids, and low totally getting rid of external crossovers. Would be sick. Haha and you have two 12s in your truck

No. That's all in my car. I'm not running any speakers off the deck so I can crank the volume without the audio distorting and it still sounds great while getting loud. I enjoy it! Can't justify putting that money into the Taco yet though... haha

Ha, its true. 3G is enough. Did not realize this. Pretty Kool. Plus, it will play in the truck thru BT. :D No Cables. :yay:

Saying I liked it is too strong. You've taken the 'like' part out of context. What I said was I liked it best 'of the songs posted today'.

All of the music in this discussion fits into what I call the 'angry 20 something' genre. :D I am neither angry, nor 20 something so 'tolerate' is more accurate. I did enjoy it tho and can see why it is interesting to you right now. :p

My doors have factory 6x9's but they are mounted weird so you have to have custom mounts to replace the speakers and I don't have the skill or tools to build my own and the only ones you can buy cost more than the damn speakers...

Well. Went to a crossfit competition today. Was fun. They also had a autocross event going on in the parking lot.

Saw and awesome evo, lotus, something I didn't recognize, cts-v and many others.
