Regardless of whether it's scripted (like most tv) or not, the fact remains that they created a REAL business that's doing very well & is extremely profitable. There is no disputing that FACT, period.

For one, I have no idea what a yippie is.

Secondly, I didn't make a thread about people being nice. I made a thread about people being assholes cause they think they run the world because they drive 4x4s.

Glad to know you're keeping up with me though :D

Whether I'm behind the wheel of a Tesla, Bombardier jet, two-wheel drive Taco or Specialized Rockhopper (frankly my favorite vehicle of all, one-wheel drive that will get you through ANYTHING), the beer-can like proportions of my gigantic genitalia have always spoken for themselves.

Think I'll have a brewski and contemplate just how awesome I am for a while.

I heart my 4X4, but I love the look of a clean 2wd regular cab. For some reason I think 2wd access cabs are really fugly but 4wd access cabs look fine. What I will never understand is a Prerunner, which gives you every disadvantage of a 4X4 like more expensive tires and worse mileage, but few of the advantages.

My daily driver work truck never sees dirt other than an occasional dirt road, so 2x4 perfectly suits my needs. :)

Many more suspension alternatives on a 6lug.

    Can't get a v6 reg cab I don't think.

Some don't buy trucks to worry about mileage. Although I do like having less weight to haul around that I personally wouldn't use like a transfer case and front diff.

Nice to sit higher and have a clearer view of the road even stock IMHO.

To each their own... Just like I like the look of a well setup reg cab, I can't imagine owning one myself. I've had a reg cab truck before and hated the lack of interior storage.

But, that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with them.... Like I said, I like the look, and think they prolly would make a beast setup with the 4.0 and a blower..... It just wouldn't fit my DD usage.

Toyota is just trying to meet demand.... They are about sales, and the more categories they can fill to appease everyone, the better for them.

Just look at the models available in Canada... No 2wd I think, and they have always had the 4 leaf pack I think.
    Why?
I don't see any benefit of 2wd there..... And as for the leaf pack, I don't know for sure, but it does seem like many in the us want a truck look but a car ride? Maybe Canadians demand more out of a "truck" than the us market? They do have some demanding environments there.

Just my attempt at an objective answer
