    Welcome!

06 Colorado and at 78k I had the infamous head failure. I was first told it's 3 grand, then found the warranty online and was told it's eligible. The same dealership 4 weeks later refused to fix it. After taking it elsewhere and being charged 2 grand for all the other stuff that broke and told GM would reimburse me, they refused to..even agreed the dealer had lied to me but still thought it was normal for a 5 yr old truck that is taken care of to need that much work. Yeah...

Drove nothing but for 22 years. If it happened and they stood by it I would still be driving GM.

the only GM car I would get is Corvette, I like the silverado and all but still, there are other options to choose from.

The Tacoma is also a money pit, except you spend it on mods and upgrades rather than to fix broken stuff. :D

Meanwhile 35% of TW members spend $500-$2000 on mods, while 29% spend $2000-$6000...

Exactly..my wife probably spent $2000 on her 96 Tacoma in 7 years for maintainence and repairs. It was going to need a clutch when it was bought back in April 2008, but at 170K that's not a shock.

I'm in the $2000-$6000 mod bracket. In total honesty, $2000 of it is my stereo which I have moved from vehicle to vehicle for the better part of 20 years.
