Alex, if you're going to spend $500, see if you can find a parts bike or at least a rolling frame. Then you'd have some spare parts along with the frame.

 

I think I'm gonna wait to hear the verdict and see what happens. If the frame is fixed, I'm good. Eventually I'll strip it bare and build from the ground up, but that'll probably be after my dad dies, so at least I can use a garage....

Buy marzellis Tj. He wants like 2500 now. Its done all the moderate/ hard trails at field and forest. Minus the no power its wicked capable.

 

Can the Runner be made street legal or is it not even able to be titled? Same question about the YZF.

Not being able to register the 4Runner just seems like a PITA. Your Tacoma isn't up to the task of towing the 4Runner and you'd have to trailer it everywhere. Even if it is a dedicated trail rig, I'd at least want the ability to drive it on the road if it were me.

 

I'd be mainly concerned about legality of owning the machine with no title. Last thing you need is to have that over your head, my friend almost found that out the hard way in our teenage years.

 

4Runner cant in MA carbed 302 in a truck that never came with a 302. Cant be titled and it wont pass inspection at all designated trail rig. Bike can be made legal with a conversion kit from baja concepts for 4xx.

I agree with registration and my truck may tow a 2,000lb trailer and 4,000lb rig but it isnt stopping. I hear ya. I've always liked two wheel to ride I can go 20x faster on a bike than trail rig.

Repair plates. and theirs a reason why i want it gone. picture this okay. You get in the truck and you say a prayer that you'll savely make it to point B, while your shifting not using the clutch (not rated for hp) you're ripping the skin off your palms, every bump turn you think you're rolling, exhaust manifold leaking bad so i cut a 2 liter bottle in half and taped it to the door so it funnels in air so I don't pass out, you cant hear sirens, cant think. It's a ratty lifted ranger with a engine and drivetrain that is way too much and is flat out STUPID UNSAFE. One thing it does really well is burn rubber like a boss

I was wondering why you took that thing! I'd wait for a trade that could be made road legal unless you're really bent on decking out the Runner. Between just those 2 trades, I'd take the YZF because it can be made street legal and you have places around you to ride. The only thing that would make me think the other way would be if you planned to no longer wheel your Tacoma and were looking for a way to make that a daily driver and off trails for good. Do you have a way to get the Runner to trails?
