    Technically I've never needed it...But that day in the pond lord knows I would have locked it in haha

    lol mine was in a parking lot next to my office. I had an autozone a mile away and my house full of tools 3 miles away so I got lucky. Called another member to pick me up and get the tools and parts. So I got lucky

    would be cool if someone made aftermarket stock length LCAs for 1st gens. Could get rid of the weak lower ball joints

    Ahh got it. But I mean... The 2nd gen ones run what, $1600? Then UCA's are 6-700, you're already at close to what you'd be paying for a LT kit... :notsure:

    For me personally there's no point in dropping that much money and NOT going LT.

    Hm. I've never checked torque on mine. :anonymous: just visually inspected them.

    its not the LCAs that are weak guys. Its just the bolts holding on the ball joint. All you need to do is Locktight them and you will be fine.

    If you let yourself get mod fever. If you don't LT the back, you really are focusing more on gusseting and protection, depending on the level of offroading you do. I feel like it's more physical labor (welding, gusseting) than it is money... Aside from the glass, bumps, and limit straps what else do you need? (Clarification: What else do you NEED to do; not what else CAN you do.)
