I have a shit load of them in my basement also from the previous owner. Saving them for when I put lights out in my garage.

My legs never seem to get cold, just gotta keep the tucked in tight to the bike. Doesn't the tank of your CBR heat up? Mine used to, the Katana doesn't though.

Yeah - I was thinking of keeping them for future use, but I will never get around to doing anything that will use those lights. Found some pretty sweet J.C. Whitney Car catalogs from 1956-1960, the original invoice from a 1965 mustang of $3,325, and some old calendars. Hoping some of those things might be worth a few bucks or two.

You interested in a large pile of coals? Could come in handy when you child gets a little older...

Never rode it long enough to see how warm the tank got lol. I wanna ride it now that Billy figured out one of the issues. Plus without the lower fairings, it'll keep me nice and warm

Nope, I want nothing to do with coal! :D

Sounds like you found some cool old stuff!

You'll probably stay warmer with the fairings on because it'll direct the wind around you and capture some of the heat from the engine. All of my bikes have always been much colder to ride without the lowers.

You gonna make it into a street fighter? I've seen some really nice ones and have been tempted to turn the Kat into one. If my plastics weren't in perfect condition, I'd probably have done it by now (that and the Katana's frame is kind of ugly).

My frame is ugly but the lower plastics are uglier. I am gonna keep the headlight fairing and the tail. Everything else (lower cover) is gonna stay off for a bit

It does make it easier to work on, I'll give you that. I used to run my CBR like that in the summer because it would get so freaking hot! With the fairings on, it would bake the tank and make it unbearable on a hot day unless you were moving at highway speeds.

Welllllll.... New frame time!!! Cam looked at it and it's totally fucked lmao. It'll do for the time being. He's gonna patch it up all pretty-like and make it so it'll be safe for my needs.

I'll take it easy until I have a weekend next year to swap over to a new frame and add in a new harness

I might. Let me check my basement and garage. Garage I'm pretty sure is 96 inches but I could be wrong..and I have one in the basement that these could work with.

Double or single pins on each end?

Winter time is coming... perfect time to work on your motorcycle :D

I'd try to find a parts bike, that way you'd have spare of a lot of those little electrical connectors and random clips that might break when swapping everything over. Sometimes, frames are compatible between years. See if you can find a forum about your bike so you can find the most cost effective solution.

A slew of pricey stuff my wife hates me for.
My father and I were at odds all through high school. Blew his mind when I enlisted. Earned his respect seeing it through. Blew his mind again when I started a family. See him 2-3 times a week. Relationship could never be better. All that funny "more stubborn than you" is the meat and potatoes of a solid relationship :)

That all gets better the older you get and your dad sees you making adult decisions.
