I get around 0-10mpg instantly pulling away from a light according to my ultragauge, average city driving, is 16-17.. No engine mods. Hopefully I'll get better when I install the intake spacer.

I get between 4-8mpg pulling from a light, sometimes less uphill or racing someone.

17 city, 21-24 highway. Really love the low rpm pull this spacer gives me on the highway. You really start to feel it cruising at 2,000-2,500 rpm. It's nice :)

I'm free most of next week; if you want to run some dyno tests and you're going to foot the bill for it, I can drive up to Asheville. I haven't installed my spacer yet and I've got a six speed with around 112k miles on it.

how to you claim gains if you have no dyno results to back them up? dyno graph in the fist page shows a 9% difference in RH, 9% less on the run with the spacer, that alone can account for the slight variarble in power as the graphs just about overlap.

From an engineered standpoint aluminum is not a good material to use as it has a very high conductivity of heat transfer, if you chose a better material I could see possible gains, but you've got to put your money where your mouth is and back this up with a dyno sheet with exact test conditions, or at least conditions that are much closer replicated.

there isn't enough mass to create a heat differential in a negative way, likewise the whole lower is aluminum...

I trended the data on my ultragauge from long before the spacer until currently(after having it on for ~2 months), and it's shown a good subtle improvement in mpg.

as it's been said before, I doubt you would be able to see much on the dyno as the purpose of a dyno is max hp/tq...this item is strictly for low end.

Let's see this data. "Good subtle" sounds contradictory to me. ;)

I think he should give away a bunch. Raise the price to cover the cost. Further discourage people from buying and trying his product because of the cost. Then give up on the whole endeavour because nobody will buy it. Then listen to people ask if anyone still makes a manifold spacer and keep pm'ing him if he's gonna make another run.

Everyone has so much energy to argue how useless his product is. They can refuse to give any credit to the opinion of people who do have it. Even if he produces a dyno chart he'll have a ton of people still saying its bull. Actually, a chart proving it don't work prob wouldn't stop people from buying it either. If you wont buy it cause theres no charts then don't buy it. This ain't the soviet union, you can do what you like.

Btw. If you want/need better torque, ditch all your extra lights, spare tire, oversized tires, campers, plate bumpers, 4wd, windows, doors, bumpers, bed, ac, passengers, etc. Surprise! Truck feels more responsive. Fuel mileage would probably improve too. But that won't show up on a dyno chart. Probably an ultra gauge but nobody cares about that. Cool kids only look at dyno charts.

Built for maximum low end torque, tooter II.VII intake manifold spacer, LCE long tube header, Injen long tube intake, 2,900 rpm torque peak.
That would depend on what the dyno chart shows.

A dyno would show the entire curve, which is why a manual transmission would be needed to do the run.

Correct. It's impossible to get a decent low end dyno run with an auto, and stupid to even waste time trying. With a stick we got dyno runs that began recording at only 1,400rpm. The whole point is to get useful torque information in the rpm range of normal driving.

True, but you will never get a true picture since a dyno run and any 0-60 or 1/4 run will be full throttle and as such will be in open loop. "Normal driving" is closed loop, so we will never get a truly daily-driver view from any test, besides the dreaded subjective butt-dyno.

    Lotso people miss this fact...

I'm impressed. That's a great reason for not dyno testing a product. Now why didn't I think of that? Man, here I went and wasted R&D money on comparative before and after dyno tests that proved an actual improvement in the torque curve... when all I needed to do was just to tell people that it "feels" better for free. Well, that joke's on me.
