well yea..i mean..its a small displacement motor. That doesn't change. still gonna sip fuel.

 

I guess one question I have is, how much of the URD 7th kit can be install beforehand? I mean, does everything have to be done all at the same time? Or can I just do the fuel pump before doing the SC itself.

And isn't there is more to that kit, some sort of calibrator too?

 

yea you can do the fuel pump when ever you want. Either just drop the tank or i guess when the bed is off. Not super hard.

The kit comes with the other injector that needs power and fuel plumbed to it and it need installed into the EGR port on the SC.

The calibrator is the piggy back ecu that helps add the extra fuel via the 7th injector based on readings from your MAF and O2 sensors.

You could do the Fuel pump whenever ya want. actual injector could be installed but i wouldn't wire it with out the calibrator/piggy back..which..i would be scared to see your wiring job on that haha you have to tap it into your stock ECU wiring harness and wire power to it.

You could wire in the calibrator, but it would not run good without the full setup.

 

So if I understand all this, all that can realistically be done ahead of the full install would be the fuel pump. correct?

 

pretty much yea..and a stock TRD SC i guess too. But not the rest of the 7th injector kit.

was thinking of having joey pick up diffs for me and then give em to you. But looks like ill go through FoCo anyways on my way home so ill just get them from him if i get them and he can pick them up for me.

And we will do something in Powell over break..or the area. Im looking into snow wheeling trail possibilities. Especially if Mike comes haha

 

I think he could install the 7th injector and even plumb it in. You would essentially just have a spacer installed beside your throttle body, But it takes the UCON (or other controller) to control it and add the extra fuel. The injector would just be sitting there idle.

 

haha no the 7th injector is much different for us 1st gens.

But you probably could put the injector in and plumb it

 

Sounds like there might be a lot going on in the middle of WY of all places this late December haha! Really gonna try and be there!

In preparation for my truck having more nitrogen filled objects on-board soon I pieced together a shock charging setup I may even fill my tires with N2 for shitsngigs. Then I'll have an on board air tank! My coilovers were under 140psi Got em back up around 170. Seems like 10 psi or so bled off over the course of 8 months, not bad. Anybody in WY who needs a fill or check get at me.

 

I've never even checked mine. Did not realize they could loose their charge.

 

Nice! my dad wants a a N2 setup too. Especially since he is looking at getting ORI..although work for him is gonna be a nightmare over the next few months so we will see what happens with him..

Yea, it's possible... You should have a shop near you that can do your's mike. CHeck motorcycle stores, 4x4 shops, or those powersports shops.

I can't find the trip report that the motorcyclists did of it..but im not sure that would be super fun in winter. To be out on the plains in the wind and cold...no trees..not really any snow..

But i mean for reals..like we can't go UP in the hills. Be 6' or more of snow there. Could go to five springs..but thats not exciting.

Im looking at Pryor trails..but i don't know anything about the area really..

Need to find something..granted snow fall will be a big part of it. Oregon trail is pretty south too of Powell..not that i guess thats an issue..
