Same here. It's a ways to the asphalt for me. My old truck has a collection of pits/chips on the rockers from the front wheel wells to the rear wells, and then from the rear wells to the end of the bed. Even doing a lot of wheeling without flaps will never create the amount of chips that daily driving on gravel roads will do day in and day out. At this point it's the lesser of the two evils for me. I'll leave them until larger tires determine if they have to go or not. even then I'll probably sty to keep something, even if they're just some small stubs of flare. I'm hoping that sliders will help and it will be a non issue.. time will tell.

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
Last year on the way in to deer camp I nearly tore off a front one. WTF Toyota. Are these "Victorian-era" mudflaps? Nice and long to cover everything up for our dainty little factory tires?

The next afternoon I got out the tool bag (taking a break from hunting, it was hotter n' hell) and pulled them off.

A year of driving w/out them and the paint was chipped up pretty bad. Took them out of the box, gave them a serious haircut with my Sawzall, made it look pretty with some sandpaper and put them back on. It's a compromise.

Oh, and if you put them back on, you won't be a chocolate packer, and your peepee will get bigger. :D

Just take them off the drivers side only, nobody looks at the passenger side.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
I like the look of the flaps better, I keep mine on and replace when broken. Luckily enough of you guys don't want them so I get them for next to nothing. Trimmed of course.
