I've got air shocks, easier an cheaper, I've had a 2rz an 2 transmissions in the bed an it wasn't even squatted, there rated for 110 psi but I keep them at 10psi for daily driven. They ride smooth an handle great.

If u buy Monroe's brand new yourself there's a lifetime warranty on them. I keep 10psi in mine an I've never added air. They stay right at 10psi, I've hauled motors an trans with them, also my snap on tool box. (Really freakn heavy). I had to put it on a lift at work to get it in the truck. An it carried it jus fine. Rode like a Cadillac.

also the shocks you want NEED to have a "Eye" on the bottom and a "Stud" on the top in order to work on the 2nd gens. No, you CAN NOT turn shocks upside down, they won't work properly if you do that, UNLESS the shocks were made to work inverted and such, then it's fine. Other than that, it's a NO NO.

    Quick ref.
    shock "EYE"
    http://www.superiorengineering.com.au/images/cms/eye shock.jpg

    shock "STUD"
    http://1.cdn.lib.americanmuscle.com/files/guide-31012_36014_31001_31007-Rear shocks 9404-10.jpg

what shock should look like (obviously get the correct measurements needed)
