No I gave her the money after she said she didn't have the money for it. I was going in today to tell her I wasn't interested in the mower. And just end it at that.

If your looking for pay back, just buy some booze and hook her daughter up on grad night. She'll wind up with a grandchild in no time. Haha

Ugh... It wasn't about payback. It is about if anyone else has had or has the same issue. And how do they get past it.

She is working and has a kid but need to borrow $200 come on brah it doesn't make sense. Nowadays $200 only get less than a week of groceries. I wouldn't believe she needs to finance $200 that's absurd what the hell is she trying to finance?? It's hard to say no but you have to act not react.

The way to get past it is to "Sack up"
    Depends on where you are.
There are some parts of the US where $200 is still a hell of a lot of money.

No I actually have seen the order page and totalled it up myself. She normally wouldn't need it but supposedly her ex husband hasn't paid child support. So I felt bad for her.

I don't go around asking people for money, and if they ask me i say Fucks to the NO. In my experience you won't ever see that money again. Better spent on truck parts

This would be me. Not usually with money, but more in terms of helping people. Drove a friend of mine to work for 5 months. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor and was out of work for 3 months..we work at the same place and at this point were 50 feet from each other. That was fine b/c he lived close by..they offered to pay me but I said no b/c I knew they were in bad times and that a mutual friend gave them money to buy Christmas gifts for their kids. Sympathetic as I am for his issues, it got old getting to work late and him not respecting my time. Plus the guy opened the door on my truck into another car not looking and punched my dashboard when I asked him to be careful. What really got me was he had a party and didn't invite me, but told me all about how fun it was that Monday. I finally had it and told his wife I couldn't do it..now he won't speak to me. He claimed his wife said he couldn't invite me and she said that wasn't true. My reply to them both was if you have an issue with me and don't want me in your home fine, your house your way..but then you shouldn't want me at your house for 2 months after to do you a favor..and that as people who talk about being very religious that I think it's hypocritical, but they will reap what they sow.

More recently, loaned a friend of 13 yrs $1000 to buy a used car from my brother in law. It was supposed to be $30 a week which rarely happened. 8 months in he got laid off at work and I didn't say anything till my father in law got really ill. He claims he's trying and all this crap, yet I've got a total of $380 in a year and a lot of excuses. Funny that he has money to hit the bars though..POS isn't even driving the car since he can't afford insurance, yet he refuses to return it or sell it.

You should toss your friend a shovel and gold pan and say learn to pan for gold you bum. I would honestly feel bad for somebody with any serious illness but if they don't respect my stuff I would them the hell off
