Ok so heres my problem i am trying to install aftermarket tail lights and after i install them and set my turn signal to left it does not flash it stays on steady and on the right side it does just fine. I cant figure it out and it is driving me crazy. And it is only when my lights are on that it has this problem. Any ideas would be helpful.

    Thanks
    Will

    (1) What year is your Double Cab?

    (2) Are you trying to use tails designed for pre-2001 Tacos on a 2001 - 2004 Taco? If so - they won't work because of a change in the grounding arrangement.

If this is the case - the simplest fix is to swap the aftermarket lenses onto the OEM 'pods'.

u might have installed the light in backwards, some light bulbs have 1 post on opposite sides and one will be slightly higher than the other... so if u have the higher post in the lower post position, vice versa, itll do what u are experiencing

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
I got the clear and red lense for my 02 from eBay and I kept my stock housing and swapped the lense only...should check and make sure. Also some bulbs have one post and some is the two post. Some are meant for blinking and some to just be driving lights. So check the bulbs and if not...just keep the stock housing and swap the lense instead.

Thank you for the posts but what do you mean by the wrong posts. two of the bulb housings have one post and the other one has two and i do have the correct bulbs in them. The company said on 00 tacoma's and up.

Take a look at the bulbs on the bottom end that screws/twists into the housing...some has one nub and some has two nubs.

one of those bulbs are bad i believe, thus messing up the circuit causing them to stay on... try taking the front one out and see what happens

I have a funny idea that all this is is the wiring in the adapter either being two right side harnesses or it could also just not match up but thank you for your time.
