No you misunderstand - your engine threw a code, and so the traction control automatically shut down as a safety measure.

A friend at my work had a scanner tool and we found these codes: P043E, P043F, P2401, P2402, and P2419.

According to this thread it sounds like an evap canister on the gas tank. Around $400 in parts.

Sam, I think I will still stop by later tonight and see if we don't get anything different and see what your friend has to say from the dealer stand point.

 

did he clear those codes so we can see if they come back? I can get you my discount on parts too if you went through dealer. I used to work there and still have my employee pricing.

I didn't earlier but I will have him clear them and see if it doesn't come back right away. On the other thread they said it took a week for it to come back on. Something about the EVAC pump only running once a week, idk.

My parents took me on an off-road trip up Coyote canyon in Anza-Borrego (socal) for some camping when I was about a year old. Just gotta be safe!
But don't let me sway you, if you're not comfortable with it, don't do it. There will be plenty of other opportunities.
