Tried to watch it, but it sent me to this: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/3037019?p=player_error1&rd=1

Edit: Never mind. I refreshed and it let me view it. This is awesome!! Those kids have got some talent, and definitely picked a freakin awesome group to cover. I love Tool. Listening to Tool got me through some rough shit when I was younger. Still does.

bad ass!! one of my favorite tool songs. Why couldn't THIS have come on one of those stupid Kidz Bop albums I've been forced to listen to all these years?!

but honestly, to find a kid drummer that can play Danny Carey's stuff is quite amazing. Rhythmically, he, by far, has the most complex parts to play.

I've listened to it now 3 times and agree, the drummer is just on it for sure. A band is just not a good bad without a good drummer and vocals. I think theres maybe a few real minor slips, but shit pretty close to perfect.

I'm a long-time old dog musician. One big reason why I'm a truck owner! Back when I was the age these kids are, you couldn't find rhythm section guys like that. Or singers. Or most guitar players. You just couldn't (I know, I was a bassist/drummer and it wasn't until I hit my early twenties that I became what I'd consider really good on bass, and not until my thirties that I became a good drummer). Now, they're everywhere. Went to a festival of young bands a couple of years back and every single drummer could give as good as I could and me with at least thirty years experience on them.

I can still smoke the little bastards on bass but that's cold comfort when they're not even out of puberty yet and I'm closer to fifty than forty.

They're better than we were. Their music may be hard to handle (not this Tool cover that they did for the benefit of us old-timers, but the music they create for themselves) but that's just an age thing. Our parents thought our music blew chunks. They were right, by their standards. The kids are alright.

    .
Like the drummer, pretty good for a bunch of kids, unfortunately that little girl just doesn't have the vocal horsepower to pull it off and her intonation is a little off, too bad they had to double track her. Everything was a little tight, these kids practiced the shit outta this song and it shows.
