Excuse me for saying it, but he went a LONG time off of dialysis. Didn't they say he would have about 2 weeks to a month? That's incredible. He was a strong guy from what I've heard. Prayers for you and your wife/family

That sucks. Get you some real straps and learn how to properly tie down a bike! Look into a canyon dancer and put the tension off to the sides, not straight ahead of the bike. The way you had it tied, you were putting a lot of tension on the strap, if you put the straps at more of a downward angle and off to the side, the front forks keep pressure on the straps and keep it upright without over tensioning the straps. I know that doesn't help you this time, but never hurts to know for next time so it doesn't happen again.

 

Dude ? Take it as a sign, get rid of that train wreck and stick to four wheels. Not to bust your bubble but do it right or don't do it at all. What's next ? God forbid, hospital pics ?

Nope, bad business in my opinion. He said he was in no rush and where we could meet up this wkend to do the deal and then i get a pm this aft saying some guy who was ahead of me bought them. I didn't see anyone on the thread ahead of me. I guess he was in a rush. Not gonna lose sleep. Was gonna keep the tires and turn over the rims and sensors. No brainer for that cheap.

Nah these straps are like WAY too old. My dad had these when he got his new 97 outback legacy.... 15 years of abuse and neglect of sorts.

I snapped one on the Willys too and that didn't kill me.

The strap that snapped was actually down at a 45 degree angle to the bike at the front corner of the trailer. Suspension was compressed and it was solid. Probably over tensioned and boston tunnels didn't help. Oh well

 

Good way to blow your fork seals .
