Got a call in the afternoon saying my nephew had fallen off the steel climbing globe at his school and had to be rushed to the hospital. Me being the closest available relative to him I had to fly to abbotsford from west vancouver (normally 1hr 20m drive) and I was just in a mad panic so I had to go hard in the pedal and on my way home from the hospital the truck was not liking me.. pedal response is delayed and it's just not running the same.. what could I have done? I never drive it like I did today I was just freaking out for my nephew. Good news is he's gonna be ok with 10 stitches later in his head. Gonna let it cool down and take it back out tonight to see if anythings changed

I'm sorry to hear about your nephew. I know how it is when someone is hurt. Everything else doesn't matter. Hope it's back to normal tonight for you once it cools down. Good luck man.

I wouldn't think you could of hurt it by just driving fast. People beat on these trucks a lot more than that.

It could have been the computer trying to adjust to your heavy foot, if you typically drive it easy all the time

First off im glad your nephews ok i definiatly know how you felt. You can Disconnect the battery for 30min to reset the computer if your really worried about it. I think it's the computer trying to readjust to a new style of driving.

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
Might have knocked some carbon off the piston crowns, valves or combustion chamber. Not a big deal, most likely. Let it sit and cool, check your oil level and see how it does in the morning.

Glad the kid is OK. I dread getting that call about my kid some day.
