    Hello All

My first post here, I have gone through the whole thread and when it started to get into the JBL units I got a bit lost. So a quick question:

    I have a non-JBL 2010
I want to put in a non-JBL 2013 unit that has the touchscreen

Aside from some mods to cut back on gaps, will everything else work (plug n play)
Is there anything I need for the bluetooth to work?
Does anyone know if the non-JBL unit has navigation?

    Thanks all!

    Thanks - That was quick!
I have never wired a stereo before, is this something that a novice could do? I will go back through the thread are there directions already in here that I missed that did not include the JBL wiring info?

Ok, been watching this thread for a while, but without one in my hands quickly got lost. I have a 2010 SR5 Prerunner, and want to get a touchscreen (Non nav) Which year/model radio will fit with the least hassle, and $$ that a first timer can do?

    Sorry for the noob questions.

I am with ya. I have a 2011 TRD PreRunner with the JBL Amp/Subwoofer and would like to know the same thing you want to know. I would like it to still be able to control the JBL Amp/Subwoofer though....

A 2013 non entune unit would be what your looking for sir...
Plugs in, you would just need to buy the adapter for the radio antenna and adaptor for USB plug in...then need to rewire stuff if you have Bluetooth or steering controls

This is different, a bit more complex...check dibble9012s thread
He did a jbl entune unit in his pre12 jbl truck

Just Bought theses 2 connectors from Toyota for my 2013 Touch screen install into a 2012. Plugged right in and now I have my Steering controls, Bluetooth mic and my antenna to listen to the radio. Just need to find a USB and Video connectors so I can see my reverse camera and maybe watch videos.

Yeah it was pretty pricey but didn't want to wait for shipping. I know there's some sites with them for a little bit cheaper. If you just search the part number there's a lot out there

FYI, I just purchased my kit here: http://mytoyotapartsstore.com The Scion Base Audio Wire Harness Kit (Item # PT546-00142) comes with the antenna cable, 28 to 20 pin, and the USB cable referenced above. This kit is $77 + shipping coming to $91.XX for me.

BigKaks mentioned that the USB cable didn't work on in his install but it leaves a door open for maybe some splicing....

I ordered those as well for my new 2014 radio...

The USB worked from the 2012 non touchscreen, 2013 touchscreen and now my 14 :notsure:

And I bought it from eBay
