Wow, I killed this thread with THAT? Shesh.... Of course I would love to host a meet here, since I have a huge shop and we could do plenty of mods, but the nearest wheeling place would be a good 30 minute plus drive!

One thing to consider now is that we don't have a lot of trucks that we are modding. Unless someone has a real project to do, there isn't a lot of reason to have a mod meet. If it is just to meet up and then go ride, it needs to just be a trail meet.

BINGO!^^^^^ i think we should decide before hand, is this a mod meet or a trail meet. because it is quite hectic and sometimes aggravating when they are combined. because you have people that solely came to ride and then you have others that came because they really wanted help getting something done to their truck and then others that just came to help when they can and to mainly visit. and before its over with you have the strict riders bitching at the others to hurry up bc YOU are cutting into THEIR riding time. and that just kind of kills the spirit IMO.

While I totally get your point, when we came up there for the Mods meets and went trail riding, I looked at it as a "Now that we finished modding the truck, I want to take it on the trails!" Kind of thing. I do get the thought process of keeping them separate, and if there are enough people that want to get their parts gathered up and make a weekend of it down here, I would be more than happy to clear out the shop space for it!

From my experience, don't trail meets generally cause the need for mod meets and shop work? So maybe instead of fixin our truck and then riding, we could ride, asses damages and repair as needed. Lather rinse repeat.

street lights....isn't that why we have headlights? i'm picking up a roof rack then i'm gonna get a basket and become the sun.....light bars all around. of course one light bar at a time...i don't think $400 for a light bar is exactly fun to pay for four of them.

If there is a place mid way up that us South AL tacomas could get to without making a days drive im sure a few of us would be down for a trail meet. Ive been dying for some trails instead of mudding.
