I can and I did consider that but I don't think that would be a good solution. The grease tip for the gun you're supposed to use is a needle that injects the grease into the cross of the u-joint. Replacing those fittings with normal fittings I don't think would force the grease into the cross and out all 4 legs like it should, it would instead flood the one side. The Moog Premium ones I ordered have a normal fitting and it's mounted in the center of the cross.

Hey Eric, do some bumper and skid feelin. Plans have changed and I don't want you waiting for me. Long thought out dilemma. Not gonna sink anymore $ into this taco. Probably be my sons truck by next year. Trail rig. I just scored a set of used ton's that need some attention.
