I'm down for that "meet" before the meet! When do you want to go?

 

Man honestly this rain needs to let up. How's about the weekend before the meet so the 13th we'll head out that way. Head over to my place then we'll cut through the farm lands on the way out haha.

 

The 13th is ideal since it's the Sunday before the actual meet. That makes sense. I'm on board for that. Good idea 2013.LBTRD, I mean 2010.TRD.

Well, couldn't get the deal I wanted on the place I wanted, so I just signed a lease for a year at one of the places we were looking...figure it gives us time to see if we really could stand living in a condo...

Only down side...move in is Tuesday, October, 15th...and I work Wed-Sat...

Hopefully I can get the keys a day or two early and I'll be able to make it and not moving while you guys are at the Hump...

When we head out on the 13th ill take some photos and videos
Of the conditions and post them up.

I appreciate it. I'll let you know if I can use your help guys...luckily, it's not too much moving. Luckily, I should be getting mostly all new furniture for the big pieces so they'll be delivering it.

if so i give my number out for it, since i can only check on TW every couple days.

 

The meet before the meet is just to go check out the conditions of the area.
Just because we live closer so its easier for us to do so. If you live near by join
Us well let you know. Shoot me a pm with your number and ill let you
Know when we go.

 

I got a some information regarding the homestead hump.
My brother in law told me that the best time to go out there
When its some what of dry is late november to december.

He told me that since people with the huge swampers go out
There some of those holes could be up to six feet deep, which
Would be bad s''t for regular trucks. (Stock height that is)

And when its really wet out there it is nearly impossible to see exactly
How deep some of those wet spots are. But he was referring to the back
Entrance not the front entrance that we plan on going through.


So regardless those of us that live near by will go scope it out first and
See what the conditions look like. But if it is swamped we may want to
Consider pushing back the meet to november or december imo.

Those who plan on attending let me know what you think.
Or if anyone on here that has been out there before that has some
Better insight????

I totally agree with this. I want to have fun but water in my interior is not part of my plan. I will go with you on the 13th. Just let those of us who are going on the 13th with you know where & when to meet you. I also agree with moving the official meet date up to Nov or Dec if it means dryer conditions. From what I have heard there is always some water there, even in the dry season, but in the wet season it is inundated. October is usually dryer but DAMN, this summer it is literally raining every day so it makes sense for us "locals" to check it out first.
