Duratracs or KM2s

Just ordered my ome 3in lift so that means gotta put some new shoes on sooo.. Goodyear Duratracs or BF Goodrich KM2s? prob gunna go 285s thoughts?? i know alot of ppl have both these and they both look dirty on tacos

so if you have either of these lemme know what you think or which i should go with cuz im havin a hard time choosin

It only belongs in one section. Wheels and tires.

I would go with the duratracs.

 

i was a bf guy until my wife wanted a set of duras. i was sold. they are a great tire. the bfs are excellent too. you want an all terrain or a mud?

 

Read the post. KM2s are a mud tire. All terrains are... Well an all terrain tire. OP, depends what you'll be doing with said tires. Highway use I would think the duratracs would be a better choice. I have KM2s and at about 25k miles it's almost time to replace them. They're a great tire. Snow isn't their strongpoint, but they still do pretty decent.

 

Km2 and Duratracs are apples to oranges.

 

KM2's. I've got close to 30,000 on mine and they are still in good shape with better than 1/2 the tread left.

Km2's can be dangerous in the snow, and generally are not suitable for winter climates. Duratracs are a more winter oriented tire due to their siping and softer compound. Which you pick really just boils down to what climate you're in. I live in Ohio and would never EVER rock a MT tire in the winter. Waaayyyy too scary!

edit:unless for ice. BradyT88 has KM2's and does great in the snow.

Yeah I have 45K on mine and they are still more than driveable where as the Durafails claim to have good wear and I have many friends who offroad constantly with me and have worse wear on the DF's than my KM2's.

 

I love my KM2's in the snow. Not saying they are better than the Duratrac's, just thought I'd make that clear.

 

I do great in the snow with mine. Probably not as well as BFG AT/KOs would

 

yea i deal with quite a bit of snow and am on the highway a decent amount..leanin to the duratracs

 

I'd say go with the duratracs or take a look at the BFG all terrains. They're a great tire too

I've ran 255 and 285 KM2s, I ain't running anything else.

 

I almost went with KM2s, but went with Duratracs because of how much I was saving per tire. I am so glad I did they are a terrific tire. First time I took them wheeling I couldn't believe how well they performed. Fact is they tires wear out and you get stuck buying them again in 2-3 years.
