plus, I have nice trees in my neighborhood... back then they didn't clear cut to build homes... they built the homes and kept as many of the trees as possible... nice shade in the summer

Just be careful when you buy an older home. Buddy bought one built in the mid to late 70's sometime and the plumbing is an absolute disaster.

Yeah my moms house just had to have the entire heating cooling system, insulation, and ducting replaced to the tune of 6k$. Plus they found some bad wiring in the attic that needs to be replaced. That's on top of the new roof and updated septic system.

The house was built in the late 60s.

Depending on where this country side you are talking about. Sometimes just a few acres will add 100 thousand to your final price tag. But lot size is bigger, myparents house is on 2 acres. And when I go to my buddies "new homes" I have to ask where the rest of the backyard is. Lol houses in the heights..... hell!! We smoked some brisket one time amd the smoke overwhelmed the people next door. So we moved the pit to the driveway

You stay home all day! You have a specific time to eat? Lol

I'd move out to the country if I was single. Specifically West Texas; that's more desert and arid landscape though. But I absolutely love it out there.

    DAMN.

That's something else too: the wiring. It's a fire/death by electrocution waiting to happen.
