    "Get sliders!!!"

    x2!!!:D

That's what I went with for my 13 DCSB OR edition because they were actually less than some of the nerf bars I was looking at (Avid off-road end of summer promo) and I actually just received them from the big brown truck today!!

I hope to paint and mount them this weekend and I can share pics if you'd like.

Rub down the sliders with paint thinner, 2-3 coats of self etching primer and then just matte black 4 good coats. Don't want to do truck bed liner because I heard hit and miss stories of success with it lasting and also flat black will make it easier to do touch ups when needed ;)

Anytime! To me it makes sense to buy something more durable than the need bars when they cost the same anyways.

I'll post pics this weekend of everything I get done. :D

I don't know if anyone mentioned it here, but you get a discount at Avid for being a member here. I think its 10%.

Excellent...will the sliders or steps give me better ding protection? I have to park in a garage at work and the thought of a new door dent makes me cringe! People in Miami are notorious for swingin their doors into shiny new vehicles lol

People have stated on here that sliders have helped with dents/dings. I can test this weekend after the install. I'll take some pics and report my experience with the install ("mini writeup") if the OP or anyone would be interested in an Avid specific install.
