well, that's stupid. seems like the tire would drag more tipped back if you actually were able to hit it.

meh, fuck it. mines gonna be straight.

yea you'd think so..but maybe not..

If its straight and you tip it back..the outer edge of the tire is gonna catch but not the inner yes? BUT it'll hit sooner and thus more pressure will be applied to it and it'll drag.."harder"?..then if it was tipped. If its tipped..then the tire hits more of the tire but less pressure on the out edge so it should in theory drag easier..but..more tire is touching so more friction..so..who knows haha

either way..yes..still gonna drag haha more of a looks thing i think. I like the tipped forward look a bit more personally.

    do it straight man

Well..if you go back to my other post..you know you won't be able to even open that window on the cab side with the tent how you have it right? or the other probably..

well the rods have to go into the base of the tent..so you either need the tent on the back half of the rack like me with nothing in the way on the cab side..or as high as you have it now.

when i have jerry cans in the front part of my bed rack i can't use that window.

But i always leaf the door open thats on the over hang and can leave the other door open too(screens closed obviously) and i never get too hot.

But with the tent as close to the cab as you have it draw up and low..you won't be able to use that window at all..think about how they are held open..haha

    simple is better :D haha

good idea though..plenty of time to change stuff. Plus..when Rear LT comes you could incorporate the rear bed cage for shocks into the whole ordeal anyways.

much easier to make too. tan might look good to offset everything. i'm thinking of changing mine to something other than black. round or square tubing? we could do something basic like mine with round too vvv

    But make the mounting different

Use like 3" angle. You'll want the larger footprint for the top to keep from breaking the plastic. And then you can cut notches on the inside part to run bolts through on the bed rail system.

do you want it like mine? just smaller than the full length/ width?

or you can make it the length of the bed if you want too.
yeah. i'll have to get larger angle iron. not sure what you mean by notches?

see how below there are notches for the rail? well..more like holes yes?

Instead you can just get angle that covers the full bed rail system..and then cut a notch from the bottom up high enough to see the rail system again. Then you just slide in bolts in the rail system and the bed rack would slide over the bolts. Then add wing nuts, washers and lock washers.
