About 6 meals a day. With work and school there's really no average as they vary quite a bit. I can post up today's meals later on tonight though.

    Haha they're great!

I make decent gains getting 175 g. I'm sure I can make more with 290 grams per day, but that's a lot of damn money! I eat 6 big meals a day and have 2 mass gainer shakes, which gets me at about 3500-4000 calories and 175 g protein...and that's eating every 2 hrs or so. I couldn't imagine fitting anything else in there. But, like I said, around 175 seems to work for me.

What I don't understand is that why one would need a gram of protein per pound of body weight when around 10-20 lbs of that weight is fat, as well as some of it being organs, bones, etc. I know the muscles need excess protein to make gains, but after a certain amount, you've got to be just pissing/shitting some of it out b/c your body can't use it. I'm no scientist, so I want answers haha

    Meal 2:
    Protein shake
    1 banana
    2 cups oats
    50g

    Meal 3:
    Oat bar
    handful almonds
    8oz vegetable juice
    15g

So that's what today came out to. A little bit over what I try for but I don't hit my macro's perfectly every day. I didn't calculate my carbs or fats since I'm too lazy from today.

How does upping fat/carbs prevent wasting excess protein? Not being a dick, I really do want to know, as I've always done around .8 grams or protein to 1 lb of body weight and it seems to work for me. Dunno if it helps, but I'm not trying to get up in the 240's or 250's. I'm at 5'11'' 195 right now.

Doesn't help prevent it, but how much can u really consume/absorb? Why not up the carbs and or fat and see if that helps..

I've been wanting to try upping carbs, so I'll try that. My fats are already pretty high, as I eat lots of fish, almonds, and pretty much bathe everything I cook in olive oil. I'll try upping carbs for a month or so and see what happens. Like I said, I'm making pretty good gains, I just want to be getting the maximum possible.
