yeah, i get that. i figure id just make notches and drill holes to bolt it to the rail system while still leaving most of the rail system useful.

yea but you can't drill just a hole..has to be a notch. You can't put a bolt all the way through the bed rail..so it would just be poking out and you'd have no way to get the bolt through the bed rack. If you notch it, it'll slide right over the bolt and then just bolt it down.

if you did just feet sections and not the full bed you'd leave the bed rail mostly open.

i think i understand what you're saying. notch it so the bolt is static on the rail system and slide the rack forward/backward so the bolt just slides into the notch in the angle?

    YES! basically!

The bolts have to stay in the rail system..i mean they can move up and down the rail system but they can go in and out. You have to slide them in like on the bottom of our tents!!

So you have to make a notch for the bed rack so it'll sit all the way down and give you something to clamp too.

my dad used 6 bolts and notches i believe for a full bed rack.

Lots of rack discussion in hur! Mine has holes and uses tee nuts that slide into the rail and the bolt goes in from the bedside thru the rack flange and into the tee nut. If you could follow that... Pictars from mobbn today!

the first pass 40 the second pass headed back was about 60 :D Some of that road is really sketchy cuz it looks like its fine and then BAM! the tire track just turns into a gnar washout. and at 40 you can kind of be ready for those but 60 ud be fkd.

Ya the lack of people is a huge perk. I'll take dogs over people any day. I had to go to DMV today and the wait is always ridiculous but today was just beyond bad. It may have somethin to do with the fact that this lovely state now issues drivers licenses to illegal aliens. Nice weather is great but beyond that this state sucks
