^^haha that's the truth. I ordered a new shock collar for my bird dog a little while back and they couldn't ship it here because it didn't meet the new "California rechargeable appliance regulations"

Any of y'all know anything about dune buggys?
Dad's looking at getting one, he wants a "old school" VW, under $3k
I want to get one to make street legal in MISS., but i want a buggy with A-arms, and a subie engine.

How hard would it be to put A-arms on the buggy?

not very hard, but it makes it more expensive. with a arms you're going to need coilovers.

Going to need a pile of parts. Our buggy use to brake all the time, but we sure had fun.
Consider a baja bug with independent rear suspension? Will be easy or already street legal.

    I didn't think it'd be to complicated.
Yeah, but the tunability jumps up, and i understand A-arm suspension a lot better then beams.
Must not've been built right :notsure:
Not really, i don't like the way they look and not really a fan of them as cars or buggys.
I'm modding this buggy to be a decent "car" for me to take to school (i imagine it gets better MPG than my truck), and still be able to take it down a rough (dirt) road fairly quickly and comfortably (all below or at the speed limit of course ;) )

Here's a pic of my cousins, cousins buggy

If you had problems removing your shock, I would think building a buggy might be complicated.

I like the manx's, but i think i'm gonna get dad's buggy (that he doesn't have) when we move, which he'll be getting a tube buggy.

I do gotta figure a way to fix fenders on the buggy and still allow good wheel travel, i was talking a friend (who built this buggy) and he said that i could make mounts on the upper A-arm to mount some fenders to.

you also have to remember that a buggy is VERY light compared to a truck. You don't need 48" of suspension travel.

If you want a A-arm buggy, start with one instead. $3k is plenty for a nice old school style two seater but when you get into A-arm buggies price goes up quick.

Jake I don't understand why you don't just use the truck instead.
