    Hello everyone.

Just a noob question. I want to know before I burn my power outlet in the bed.

I was wondering how much wattage does the power outlet in the rear bed produce. Also will it be able to power a small rice cooker for 30 minutes. On the rice cooker label read: 120V 60Hz 560W AC only.

Thank you for your time reading this.

It has a circuit breaker in it so if you trip it, it just turns off and you have to go push the button on the dash again to turn it back on, but whatever tripped it will just trip it again. I've used it to power drills and grinders with the occasional shut off. Tried an electric chainsaw once, but that was more of a hassle. haha Would shutoff in just a few seconds of light cutting...

This is all with the truck engine ON right? I'm shifting through threads to try and find an answer to that.

I see the manual says to only use the power outlet with the engine on (100W while driving and 400W while stationary). But they don't go into details about using it with the truck off. (They probably don't want you tom to avoid a drained battery.

I suppose that with small wattage items (20-50W), running it with the engine off shouldn't be a problem. However, I haven't used it yet, so I'm wondering if the system will even allow it.

FYI I tried a hairdryer a few days ago (to help debadge) and it killed the power after 2-3 secs. Who knew a hairdryer had so much wattage.

Anything with a heating element in it like a hairdryer, coffee maker, rice cooker, etc is going to draw a lot of power.

Not sure what Toyota was thinking when they installed such a low powered inverter ?
Judging by this list , we are limited to fairly small appliances
    http://www.donrowe.com/usage-chart-a/259.htm

I know guys have beefed up the inverter circuit or replaced with a larger one in other posts
