Black Plastic?

I have tried all the commercially available stuff from local stores, back to black, etc..., and recently for sh|ts and giggles tried Maguires Interior EXTRA gloss with UV protection.... Wow. Not saying it is the best solution but it worked the best for me....

I had an older 2nd Gen Taco that I traded in, and let me tell you, no matter what you choose to do, KEEP UP WITH IT.

Because if you let it fade / dry rot / get spotty / there is NO COMMING BACK.

I totally agree OP, there shouldn't be any reason to use all this plastic and rubber that fades and requires constant attention, but trust me, keep attending to it or it will be a lost cause WHEN IT fades (Those two rubber strips across the top of the cab, and the back window rubber surround WILL fade and dry rot, its not IF its WHEN, keep them UV protected with SOMETHING!)

 

Everything you said is true. For now I'm using Meguiar's Natural Shine. The stuff has UV protection (at least that's what the label states), doesn't attract dust, and for me its best feature; leaves all plastic & rubber looking natural. This was exactly the look I was after for detailing my older car. The only difference is, the car stays inside the garage w/a cover & the truck for now stays outside. I thought maybe there was something better out there. Guess this Meguiar's stuff is just about as good as any temporary care product. So I guess the important thing is; just keep using what you're comfortable with until someone convinces you otherwise.

Come-on Ozzie, I assumed by your question you are a GC? If you are you would know. GB 98 simply means a General Contractor is licensed for both commercial & residential construction. And here in NM it also means your unemployed.

I am a GC like I already said , the HPO is the government entity in charge of licensing contractors in BC
