That was the month of August. I used 24,000 gallons the previous month and i'll bet i'm close to 40,000 gallons last month.

When mother nature doesn't help you out after you get sod, gotta do something. Before last week i had less than 1/2" of rain in over 2 months.

Did you hear the part where the bank rquires them to put in sod as part of the financing requirements? Not just landscaping, but sod. Stoopid banks. I started this train of discussion, but wasn't able to follow Krappy's responses, if he had any...to distracted and busy.

So essentially, bank policy requires nonsensical resource waste to protect their investment. If I understand correctly.

No rationing as of yet. They did ask people to scale back on watering. Fuck that. :D

Yes, the bank with holds money from the builder if sod isn't put in (at least the front yard, side yards and 10' behind the house). It is rather stupid especially in July and August when its hot and we don't get a lot of rain anyways.

That's insanity for such a dry climate, sod was so popular in Cali forever, stupid waste of resource, I hate the stuff personally and discourage it on every audit i do. I can plant out a landscape that will be colorful, full of bees, hummingbirds and butterflies, irrigate it with subsurface inline drip, control it with a WIBIC timer and it will use a fifth of what sod would take not to mention it's a whole lot less effort to maintain.

We aren't typically that dry of a climate.

:p it was either water it or spend another $1500-$2000 to have it redone. I would love to do a shit ton of landscaping, but with a .5 acre, i don't have that much money.
