They are the wheels/tires from my Land Cruiser. It's just temporary while I clean up the wheels/tires that are usually on the truck. The spring/summer wheeling season really trashed them and there's tons of rock rash. So I'm sanding, cleaning and repainting the Taco wheels. It's nice to have the Cruiser to pull from so I can take my time.

Not anymore. It's been in semi-retirement mode for the past year. Wife drive a Yukon XL.

The Cruiser is constantly discussed right now as we debate selling it or putting some money into it. It's got over 300K miles on it and needs some work on a few things. But I kinda want to hang onto it for a family wheeling and for my son when he turns 16 in a few years.

Meh. Not looking to tub the firewall just yet. And I would want to finally regear. We'll see what kind of bonus I get this year.

I've actually been very surprised at how the truck drives with the 35's. I hardly notice any difference in power at all from my 33's. I'm very tempted to run them through the winter since it's mainly street driving. I've had them on for over a week now and the only rubbing is very slight rubing on the driverside when turned to full lock. Otherwise it's all smooth as butter.

I'm sure wheeling would be another story.

I'm hoping to have my wheels (with the 33's) finished up tonight. That's the whole reason I put the 35's on. I've been stripping, sanding and repainting the wheels with the 33's because they had tons of rockrash and were chipping. I should have them painted tonight and then let them cure for a couple of days. So I could put them back on this weekend but I'm wondering if I just leave them off until spring.

He has the e-locker from the factory. You can tell by the TRD Off Road decal, unless the person is a poser and added the decal. Haha

TRD doesn't always equal e-locker. Mine is a TRD SR5 and no e-locker for me :(

From 1998 to now TRD means that you have an e-locker in it. If you have a single cab 4 banger then there was no option for it. All ext. cabs and double cabs with the 3.4L have the e-locker. I am not sure the 4 bangers had them though. I am sure someone else can tell you.

It used to be my dad's truck and he says he called toyota and ran the vin and it was. I think I may do it again to be sure though. It's something I've always wondered about

Yeah, if your vin says it is a TRD off road then something somewhere got switched up.

Do you have a picture of the interior of the truck? There would be a switch to the left on your dash that has a diff lock button.

No e-locker, no switch. I might be getting an e-locker axle next week though.
I always thought it'd be a douchebag move to throw a TRD sticker on a non-TRD truck....
