I remember those when I was a kid in mom and dads house. One phone in the house on the kitchen wall made out of that black bakelite material. Solid as a rock.

I grew up in a small town in no where backwoods Idaho so some of this stuff still kind of existed when I was a kid and I was born in '88. haha Hell my parent's and in-law's just barely upgraded from dial up internet in the last couple years and that was because that is when something besides dialup first became available for their areas (no they don't live in the same town, about 300 miles apart actually). haha

91' was a good year for music. Favorite album that year is probably Temple of the Dog.

Did someone really say that they like Nickleback? JK

Oh my god I now know why some people call the remote a clicker... I can imagine the satisfying click that sucker made whenever you hit a button.

Anyway, back to all yer reminiscing, here I was feeling old for not knowing anyone from my highschool anymore. Thanks for making me feel good again!

Just to add to the convo... My buddy Dan was going thru a divorce last year and brought his new 22 yr old girlfriend to a party. Dan's going for an "I'm young" look with nerd frames (no lenses) and skinny jeans. He's all into music... talking about concerts, albums, how much Top 40 sucks and Pearl Jam is the greatest band ever. The entire time, his girlfriend is just quietly sipping her wine and enjoying the flow when the conversation goes...

Dan (to his GF) - "What's your favorite Pearl Jam song?"
GF - "Yea, I don't really listen to oldies."

This is when Dan realized he is old.

EVH had a hip replacement, STP can't reunite the original lineup, Metallica could pose on the cover of GQ.....

    Ya... it's classic.
