    Well, everything got spoiled!!! Won't be there. I had it all planned out to be there Saturday and stay until Sunday. I am just getting started on building a new house and the bull dozer guy is starting on that Thursday and said he needed me to be available on Saturday if there was anyway possible. He is cutting my driveway in on Thursday and Friday, then pushing some trees around over the weekend. Sucks, but I have been waiting to get started on this thing forever! Anyone that has ever built a house I am sure can relate. Permit after permit, everyone else's time schedule, etc...

    Anyone around Nashville going to the meet? I really need to get some leaf springs to drunktaco which will be there... Can someone help me out?

    I think I may have turned the CB on without the antenna hooked to it.

    Saturday Night Edit:
    I redid the entire set-up. Things are working. Things are set-up much cleaner. I am much happier. I grabbed a cobra 19 from wally-world for $35. I like that it has an actual receiver box. Box is wired straight to the battery, grounded inside the cab. Removed the little tray to the right of the steering wheel, bought some L brackets. Bolted the L brackets into where the tabs went for the tray. 3M taped the flat sections sticking out and attached the box to the 3M. Holds well. Good fit.

    Running an 18 foot cable, much cleaner run to the antenna. Antenna was moved to the P/S of the bed. Grinded to bare metal (to make sure) on the mount, used 10ga wire and ran down to the frame. Found pre-existing hole, grinded down to bare metal and attached the ground cable.

    Reception appears to be a little better. Technically need it tuned with an SWR. Thinking about upgrading the antenna though.

    Found me a sleepin' bag...and a tent. Borrow em 'from a buddy. So that's taken care.

    Here is the new CB I bought today. I've had a lot of success mounting things using L brackets and 3M double sided tape.
