    Okay guys, quick question...
    Is there a proper "alignment" for the spring and struts? I see there are paint marks on each one like it's aligning it, so how do I verify that the shop mounts the new strut to the spring properly? Hope this makes sense...

    I don't think there's a specific way for the coilover to line up in the bucket if that's what you're asking other than the 3 bolts to attach it.

    I've just read about "clocking" the whole assembly when it is put together, e.g. the spring mount, spring, and strut.. But I had never heard about it in the forums. Then like I said, there were paint marks on the ones I took off, so it got me thinking. I'm going to the BMW dealership this morning to get the new struts put on (have a friend there so it's free), and just want to be able to verify it was done correctly. Am I being overly paranoid? :tinfoilhat:

    I see.. Think you're being paranoid... The paint marks (at least used to) identify driver vs passenger side.

    Hmm.. that leads me to another then. I thought the front didn't have a driver v passenger.. So I didn't pay much attention.. Will that matter! lol

    Edit: Disregard, I took a picture so I could document it.. I know which side is for which... I'll stop being paranoid about the mounting then. Thanks!

    Thanks! The lean has gone from gangsta to quite the respectable bro. I have to admit it, I kind like it with a lean. Only thing: must adjust headlights. My brights illuminate the top of trees quite well.

    I can't thank you enough for your help. The sway bar is still bugging me though.
