I wanna put a 3" lift in the front and a 2" lift in back on my 2013 taco double cab. I am unsure about what else i will need?.........

New upper control arms most likely.

I'm confused on this, half the people on this forum say stock uca's are fine and the other half say you need aftermarkets. Are they not required but just better to have for less wear on the truck?

It's hit or miss really. If you go with a 3" lift and don't get new UCAs, chances are pretty good that you'll have issues getting a proper alignment....you won't be able to get enough caster with the stock ones. Some people are able to get good alignments though. That's the main reason for getting the UCAs.

Ah gotcha, i'm about to do my 3" lift and it would be nice to not have to spend the extra $450 on LR uca's :( Could go towards my new rims and tires but if i need em ..

in reality i talked with ready lift personally and was told the chances are like 1 out of a hundred ready lifts actually have the problem where you will need a new UCA's. I have a 2011 and was worried about the same thing but with the odds like that i just went with it and didnt have any problems. alignment came out mint. call up the manufacture and ask them directly in relation to what you have with there guidance and you should be fine.

I think i will go with the 2.75 in the front.. To be safer with out having to get more aftermaket parts. My next question is what do you guys think is the best brand out there?

How much are you looking to spend? Pretty broad question.

I ran the Ironman w/Toytec AAL. Got 2.75 up front and 2 in the back. Setting at 22 7/8 hub to flair up front and 23.25 in the rear. $640 shipped from Toytec using the TW coupon code. I couldn't be happier! It's a little out of your budget but absolutely worth it.

I might be able to do $640. I would prefer to have the blocks in the back and not the added leafs.

If you have the crappy 3 leaf pack like I do, I'd go with the AAL and not the blocks. I was hitting the stops a dozen times a day with the cap and a few hundred lbs of tools. The ride is better and I get half the sag when loaded. Its a good fix until we see a TSB or can afford a new leaf pack.

I am just kinda new at lift kits. All i want is a good lift to add about 2.75" of clearance in the front and add 2" in the back for a medium duty. FUN STUFF!

So no blocks at all? Or is that something i can add to it later down the road?
