Daytime shots. 2" rake. Ouch. Time to remove a leaf.

Removed an overload leaf. Negligible effect on height. I'll just let them settle.

New decals soon. All black, scrapping the chrome shit on the doors and a new tailgate sticker soon to be covered if I ever get a swing out built.

    Hey Clint,

First off I just want to say I read through your whole build and the truck looks great. Looks pretty just how I want my truck to be, just extended cab!

Anyways, I'm new to TacomaWorld, and Tacomas in general. I recently got a 96 white ex cab 2.7, I purchased last month. I ordered a set of 255/85/16r and CS019r leaves this morning before even finding this thread! Anyways, I have a couple questions about your build...

Are the OME shocks/struts you are running with the CS019r leaves working out? I know this leaf setup puts a pretty hefty lift on the truck and I want to be sure I get shocks with long enough travel. I would like to get a set ordered so I don't have to wait to install and measure the travel on the leaves and then order.

Also, how do you like your setup in the front wit hthe 883? before you installed the winch/bumper was the ride pretty firm? Did it get softer after install? I'm sure it did, I was just thinking about running 881's and since I have ext cab and plan to add a bumper down the road I should maybe take a different route?

And finally, did you chose to replace your UCA's because of personal preference or did you have to? I was hoping I could get by replacing the struts/coils and leave the stock UCA's if possible.

I'm sure I will think of another question later tonight/in the morning. :D

    Thanks,
    Aaron

Edit: Sorry to threadjack your build! If you want to PM me an answer I can delete this, just figured someone else may have similar questions to me down the road!

Thanks for the response, that def helps! What are you asking for the 881's shipped to 45220? If you could get me a shock length measurement that would be great. I really don't want to install the leafs, measure, and wait for delivery of shocks. Would be awesome if I could get everything on at one time.

881's sold yesterday, sorry. Getting sliders welded on today and was wheeling yesterday (shocks are intact) so I haven't measured yet. I'll try and get a # tomorrow after work.

No damage to my truck. Jonathan destroyed a front CV and I had to winch him out. I'll put a link to the video after chad YouTube's it. Had a good time though. And where the hell were you slackass.
