Well I guess that's true. DX is what you make it and you can make it as good as FX. And I don't NEED a full frame. And lenses would be cheaper. Well everything will be cheaper for that matter.

Thank ya sir. In other words, stick with f4. What all can I shoot with that? Like is there only certain things I can do with it since it's only one aperture?

f4 means that is the fastest aperture in that focal range. You can still stop the lens down to any f stop you want to down to f22. Lenses with constant apertures will be sharper than variable aperture lenses.

I see. Would it be okay if I did get one with variable? Like is it really noticeable? Like a 4.5-5.6 or something not real variable? And do they even make a 70-200 f4 for DX? I can only find the FX one

FX lenses will work on DX cameras. Invest in glass it will last you the longest.

    Yep

Do some research before you buy anything. You need to find what fits YOUR needs.

Well in that case, I'm glad I can still get that 70-200. Too bad it's as much as the 7100. Probably won't get it for a while though.

    thanks guys.

Yea i really tried not to have the odd overkill look you see in most. Not that i didn't view those options. Some do look interesting..

but i liked the natural look more. Is cool how much it can really bring out. I think i'll do it more now that i have the means to do it.

I think I've decided. (more than likely will change knowing me) D7100 body with 18-200mm lens bundle. Only reason I chose that lens is because my brother has it and I have seen some amazing pictures with it. That and I will save $250 if I buy it with the camera. Don't need to read any reviews for it. And no, I won't use it for moon shots. lol
