    Just front diff, no oil. No need to change the oil just to replace the seal. Unlike the diff seals the crank seal doesn't loose any oil (well barely any) when removed.

    awesome!! i wasnt sure...but when you mentioned the oil filter, it reminded me of my high dollar Mobil 1 thats in there

    That Ford filter is ok, right?

    to my knowledge they are good filters and have the bypass valve

    I wouldn't put a ford filter on my truck, but that's only because I respect my truck and would never insult it by doing such a thing. :puke:

    Plus Toyota filters have been proven by someone on TW to be the best quality, even better than K&N filters.

    Did anyone actually think that Ford manufactured their own oil? Just because it's in a Ford Motorcraft bottle or packaging does not mean that it is always indeed manufactured by Ford. [​IMG]

    BTW - that site has been around for years and it does have a ton of excellent information.

    The same holds true in the fact that the Motorcraft oil filters are essentially a Purolator filter in a Ford box.:(================================= Thomas====== From a ford chat site....I would change that thing out every 3k..Not good at holding up.. Toyota filters show no brake down at 10k Ml.

    Purilator gold is only sold it the purilator box ... The ones they sell to ford are the cheap ones
