What paint are you using on the console?

The paint is a flat black plastic spray paint. But I prepped the plastic and then put down a layer of bonding spray first so it makes a good bond to the plastic. Harder to scratch and chip that way

Every thing is looking good so far, nice and professional.
I wish I had all the know how of an good installer, as far as wiring etc. If I did my truck would be like Kit off Knight Rider.

I'm behind on tech stuff and terminology, what do you mean you "rooted" your phone? Do you just mean you're using your wifi from your phone to operate the other stuff?

No rooted is similar to jail breaking an iPhone. Its like hacking it so you can do thinks such as use your phone as a WiFi hotspot. So pretty much whereever my phone goes, I have unlimited wireless internet on a laptop or tablet. So in my dash there I have Pandora, iHeart, Netflix, YouTube, all that fun stuff for the passenger to enjoy

Jail breaking is for iPhones and rooting is for droid smartphones

Thanks! And as for the remote in the console, I don't have steering wheel controls and the head unit is down below the ac controls so you lean up a tad to reach so this is perfect. I put it where I rest my arm comfortably and its right where my fingers sit. Like having a remote in your hand the whole time. Also easy for the passenger to use. I took out the I/R eye and extended the wires from the leads to the board and ran it up into my headliner so its hidden but still commands the deck. Lol for those who were wondering how in the world the remote still works like that. And its fiberglassed into that piece BTW so its perminant. To replace the battery simply pop the panel and the back of the remote is easliy accessable

Slick job! That console totally rocks.

Now wiring.... 0 going into the cab split to #4s... I hope you are fused at the battery to no more than 80 amps ;)
Personally, I'd run 150 at the battery, and run a sub-panel under the console with separate 80a fuses for the 4ga cables.

Been a traffic signal technician since I left aerospace in '92.
Before that, electronics has been a hobby since I was old enough to hold a soldering iron.
Couple of years managing a Radio Shack (back in the days that RS employees actually knew how two batteries make a flashlight work).
Managed Trak Auto for a couple of years before that.
Worked the machine shop at an aluminum foundry while working on my Associate degree.

I am impressed, and this is really not the sort of thing I normally care about (my audiophile gear is at home, not in my car, I don't much like listening in my car). But you've got some amazing fabrication skills. Keep it coming. I am learning.

I really like how you mounted the remote for the HU. I have the same Pio remote but I have a manual trans so I dont have the open space you do near the cupholders to mount it
