MJ was a true humanitarian he donated millions of money to charities he changed the face music as we know it and deserved the title of king of pop. now i like mj and it doesnt bother me that he got all this media attention after all he was an entertainer and always under the medias watchful eye, so him dying naturally brought a lot of attention towards him because it was totally unexpected.

What I don't get is that many of MJ supporters were nowhere to be found when he was accused of child molestation, now that he's dead, all this outpour of support comes out of nowhere. Where were the Jesse Jacksons and Al Sharptons, the past several years when Michael went into hiding? Where were they when he got Neverland Ranch repoed. He hasn't been relevent in modern music for the past 10 years. Yes, is sad to see his passing, but with the way his life had been going, it was to be expected. I too an sick of seeing this overkill coverage of his death. It's been 2 weeks, let's move on to more important topics.

 

Everyone said it- but it's worth bumping.

One dood is not worth all this buzz...Lots of folks have done FAR more important stuff and died quietly.

I could not agree more.

To top it off, I read where people are killing themselve because he died. Unbelievable.

 

people that do that are benfiting our society, we can always use less of those people

 

Its the MTV generation, reality TV , the need for instant gratification, the ME generation, its lost in promiscuity, disprespect, and wonderful guidance from our current society. Technology has destroyed us in ways.

I think if this country sinks into a deep depression you will see many many younger people fail miserably. NOT ALL, but many have shallow values and no real purpose every day when they wake up.

The real heroes of life are overlooked daily. I soldier dies and it rarely makes the news or is buried deep in a newspaper. A TV personallity goes to rehab and its plastered everywhere.

MJ was a good entertainer, Farrah Fawcet was good to look at, but Billy Mays was a guy I could relate to. But its all a fad.

Real heroes dont come in a game box or are made in videos.

Good input chris. A lot of people think it but few speak it out loud.
