Damn... you should work for Archangel! I'm also curious about the Timney trigger upgrade but wouldn't trust myself letting out the wood stock.

Which is another reason why I might just save for a "proper" rifle.

It'll be more accurate, lighter, more movable in the woods, take accessories easier, and likely a better trigger.

Sure, I can go to the local milsurp guy, get a 70 year old rifle, put a $200 stock on it, $100 trigger, $60 rail, and be forced to buy ammo online, or I can go buy a Tikka T3 Lite for $550.

Well yeah... but you don't need all that for a woods gun. All you'd need for a hunter would be a cheap Mosin, $60 Brass Stacker rail and whatever you want for a scope. You don't need the Archangel stock and Timney trigger for hunting. I definitely see your point though, if you're going to buy another firearm for hunting, you can do better than a Mosin for not a lot more.

You can't find Mosin ammo locally??? I have the opposite problem, I can't buy ammo online in MA thanks to the A.G.

In PA you need to have expanding bullets, and I've only seen milsurp which are FMJs. Id probably get a 270win, which you can find anywhere, work well on deer, and less recoil.

Ah. Here, we have to use shotguns to hunt everything, no rifles allowed.

That's cuz if you shot a rifle, you'd probably be hitting something in another state... ;)

Traded the 2015 TRD Pro 6spd Supercharged on a PowerWagon and could not be happier. My 2011 Tacoma with the TX Baja package (Added by me) is still treating me great. My 1985 Toyota never skips a beat.
    I love it.

I bought my m1a on a whim and it grows on me every time i shoot it.
Its not the scar17 i love, but it has such a wonderful feel that the ar10 or scar's dont.
