Not so sure I'll take the chance though it seems like every time we go to tillis there is room to spare, as far as campsites go

 

I hate this guys. I wanna buy so much before this trip but I just spent way to much overhaulin my front end.

Some guy is selling his bud skid for 200 shipped, I dont have any skids on my truck right now.

I wanna pick up a CB so I can communicate with you guys

I only wanna do one of them before the trip becauae Ive gotta build the savings account up, what do you guys recommend?

 

Personally I would say compressor or CB. There will be plenty of guys out there with straps and no real need for the cans out there (imo)

 

I was honestly leaning towards the skids for the simple fact that I have none. And if not that I, torn betweem comp and CB

I have a specific one in mind, I thinks its a cobra 18. I wanna put it below my radio

 

Ah, well. Pity. It's a solid radio. BTW, the new model of the Cobra 25 will also fit below your radio and has the mic jack on the front.

FWIW, I plan to put my other identical 25 below my stereo if I ever get an after market stereo. Right now I have that ginormous factory system in there. I'll just need to cut a hole in the side of the trim panel for the mic cord. Until then, I'm thinking the best place to put it is on the headliner right above the rear view. There's no structure up there for a solid mount, but I was going to put a large piece of aluminum plate to distribute the load. Only thing I'm worried about is that the truck vibrates so bad now until the tires warm up, it might be too much for the headliner to support, even with the backing plate.

 

Id say CB will get most use ... The skids aren't necessary at citrus ...maybe an occasional stick that kicks up , but that's all they will do for u in citrus
Gas stations are within easy reach ...and straps are in every rig out there already

 

I think its all going to come down to if he has the skids or not. Im always paranoid about the underside of my truck

 

Long term skid plates are a good investment, but short term the CB will get the most use and be more fun with a big group.

I have a good on board air system, you're more than welcome to us it to air up.

I always bring my handheld CB incase someone doesn't have one, but with the small antenna it really doesn't have more than a quarter mile range in the woods.

Holder sounds cool, but if we can't reserve enough spots it could be an issue for a decent size group. At least with Tillis we know if we have the space.
