Yeah thats what I was thinking. But I just remembered that I have about 1200# of scrap steel, maybe that will fund my cb radio

 

Get a CB ..you won't regret it ..best upgrade on your list for this meet ...

That much scrap should bring around $120 ..depend if it's #1 or #2 steel

 

Its an old universal weight set 800# of it is wdight plates. Thenysrd told me it 8.50 per 100 pounds

 

$8.50 is low ... Going for around $10-11 up here

So the only people that have chimed in are for holder mine, I take it thats where we're camping this time around?

 

IMO, I say we give it a shot. Plus those that have dogs can bring them. Who knows, we might really like this one.

 

Please post some good pics since January will be the first time that my wife & I go to Citrus, or camping at all. I've seen the picks that Finks99taco posted from last year & the place looks like fun!

From the Gulf to Lakes Highway (State Road 44) west of Inverness take State Road 581 south toward Brooksville. After about two miles you will see a sign for Trail 10 to the right. A half mile in the road turns to gravel for about a mile. Campground is on the right just past the dump station.
The Florida State Parks have priced themselves out of the market. We can get a full hookup site in a “resort” for $16. Why would we pay $20 for electric and water in the boonies? We went to this campground from Big Bass because the temps continually dropped below freezing at night and without electric we couldn't keep warm and were spending a fortune on LP for the generator and catalitic heaters. This is a beautiful little campground with electric and water as well as restrooms and hot shower. No reservations, first come first served. Pick a spot and pay the Iron Ranger.

Archery Season:
November 2-24.
Permit, Stamp and License Requirements - Quota permit (if hunting during first 4 days), hunting license, management area permit, archery permit, deer permit (if hunting deer), migratory bird permit (if hunting migratory birds), and state waterfowl permit and federal duck stamp (if hunting waterfowl).
Legal to Hunt - Deer with at least 1 antler 5 inches or more in length, wild hog, gray squirrel, quail, rabbit, raccoon, opossum, armadillo, beaver, coyote, skunk, nutria and migratory birds in season.
Regulations Unique to Archery Season - Hunting with guns or crossbows (except by disabled crossbow permit) is prohibited, except that centerfire shotguns are allowed for hunting migratory birds when 1 or more species are legal to hunt (see Migratory Bird section and the current Migratory Bird Hunting Regulations pamphlet).

If I'm not mistaken, 3 sites wont be enough for 13 vehicles???? I think we need 5 or 6 sites, but Mike would know this better than me.
