what's your upper control arm and wheel setup? the cab removal is only helpful is you aren't burning up the sidewall on the uca

a picture would not be the one way to find out :p

you can't really tell much from a picture like that, but you do seem to have more lift than me, and since we wouldn't be doing any major suspension flexing, the lift would help for a street test.

Mike, where do you put your quad when you transport it? apparently my subwoofers are messing with my compass calibration real bad. i have to recalibrate every time it goes in the truck. i didn't believe it, but then i hooked the phantom up to the computer to get live readings, and every time i held the unit inside the truck, the numbers went crazy, and then they only went about half way back to normal when i removed it, thus requireing a recal. i'm thinking i may have to strap it down in the bed to transport in order to not have to recalibrate every time. luckily i have a watertight case coming tomorrow. just wondering if you had similar issues

yep, very similar to that, just heavier duty. i'll probably have a guard around the light, and ad a little more style than the bajas (i have so me tricks up my sleeve). I am considering making it adjustable from the cab like that though.

Haven't had similar problems but I also don't have a sub/amp. Try keeping it in the front seat and keep the stereo off.

Other option is your waterproof case and put it in the bed - EMI is a mutha

i think it's going to have to be the case in the bed.

when i tested the compas readings with it hooked up the computer, the stereo was off. it's just too many big magnets in a small cab i gues. i have aftermarket speakers in the front as well, with much larger/more powerful than stock magnets, and even those threw it off (not as much as the subs, but a noticable amount.

    it's probably giving me cancer........

    LOL...

my rifle case is "waterproof" but I don't trust it as it's a Plano instead of Pelican / Storm. If I'm flying locally, I just throw it in the bed but when I took it to AZ, it rode in the backseat the whole time... :)

yeah, this one is the same way. not a pelican, but close enough that i'll jsut toss it in the bed on clear weather or short drives. i do have one of these though that i put water sensitive stuff in for bed travel on longer or rainy drives.

Phantom case came in today, and i am extremely pleased with it. build quality, latches, seals, etc are on par with the pelican case i keep my laptops in.

made by a company called goprofessional. they specialized in custom cases for gopro setups, but have a couple of phantom specific ones. i didn't think i would, but i'd trust this getting soaked and keeping everything inside dry :)

even has attachment points on the back where i can add wheels and a pull handle.

Looks good Colin... Interesting factoid, the CEO of DJI America is also named Colin (even though DJi is 100% Chinese owned, Colin is the American face for the company.)
