I use the storage under the seats for jackets and stuff... I was going to get a box that fits between the seats, but it was going to cost $130. I got my box for free so I'll deal with it haha

Oh okay, makes sense haha I just got a monoblock amp. I'll redo my door speakers eventually, but we'll see how good it sounds with a new radio.

Yeah I don't use that storage for shit, that's what my toolbox is for. I can't even get to it since my sub box takes up my entire rear bench haha. My stock speakers sound great with just the head unit. I run the sub all the way up and the bass at -4 to 0 so that the sub does most of the lows and the speakers just do the mids and highs. No audiophile setup but it gets it done.

My toolbox is full... Haha I have to keep all of my tools in my truck because I have nowhere else to put them...

That's how it was in my 96. An aftermarket headunit made a pretty good difference. I can't remember how I had my old setups managed.

I'm actually excited to get it hooked up and mess with the tuning and equalizers. I always make sure that the headunit I get has the option to set the bass to only go through the subs. Plus the amp I bought has a gain adjustment knob so I can add a ton of bass at random times haha

Nope. Plate bumpers probably won't be until the end of 2014 or beginning of 2015.

Not much of anything major planned for this year, but I want to try and get new leafs, a bed rack and a rtt come tax return time.

I gotcha. Yeah I'm gonna pay mine off with the tax return. And then buy a rear bumper. Front skid will come soon... Hopefully

I should probably put my tax return towards the truck... I still owe about $9,000 on it haha

Last years' tax return was enough to buy my suspension plus a few extra $100. This years' tax return should be double that! That way I can afford the those three things, and then buy mid-travel slowly throughout the rest of the year.

Skids were going to be the next thing on my list since my stock ones are almost useless now... But by the time I would get the skids installed, I'd be back in Missouri with no need for them... :(

Washed the truck inside and out and put new windshield wipers on it finally.

I think my fuel gauge has quit on me. It's been at half a tank for a long time. But it also went from full to 3/4 full in 20 miles, so maybe it's just readjusting?

Such a clean truck! I love it. Does your truck rub at all with 33s?

Yeah, but only when off roading. And when it does it's not that bad at all. I did trim some of the plastic and hammered back the pinch weld.

Finally, after breaking part of my grill and having to superglue part of it, I got the new mesh on!

Looks so much better than the chicken wire I had! Haha

I'll get it put back on the truck in the morning.

Yeah, I figured I would keep myself busy with some easy mods tomorrow. Might even tint my tail lights if I can get them to look like yours!

Hmm, the adult in me tells me to just match the fronts with the rears. But the teen in me wants 15% all around...

Psh it's easy, just spray it on light.
Matching the front with the rears is gonna be around 15%. I got 20% and the window with no tint already has 5-6% for UV protection so that's just about 14-15%. The rear factory tint is 30-35% but you want the front windows to be darker since the windshield lets in A LOT of light.

I was contemplating going 35% in the front but I am SO glad I went with 20% because 35% would have looked stupid-- woulda been way too light

Hmm, many people that have gotten their's matched said stock for the rear was around 23%. Maybe 01-04 Tacomas are slightly darker?

Shoot maybe it was 23% or somewhere around there. That would make more sense at least here in WA since it has to be 24% or more. I figure as long as you don't have 5%, you won't get hassled.

I had 5% on my last car (thought I was a thug in high school). I will NEVER get or recommend that dark of a tint to ANYONE, ever...
