Did you make sure to replace the stock bearing fluid with a synthetic blend. Conversion to diesel requires a higher boiling point. You can usually pick up a bottle at your local auto parts store. If its not next to the oils they usually keep them in the back so ask someone at the counter. Happy to see more people switching to diesel.

I'm going to Asheville to see your mechanic. Oh wait, I don't need too? Just start adding diesel? OK, got it I'm right behind you.
I am going to speed up the process by just starting 50/50 gas diesel and attaching my leaf blower directly to the intake so I don't have to wait for my turbo to get here. I think I'll make some sort of dual mount for my blower and quad 8" stacks as well. Good thing I got a break from work due to the shutdown. Can't wait to start rollin' some serious coal.

Hmm. Tried not to laugh. Didn't work. Problem I see with running diesel in a gas motor is one thing. Compression. If you roll coal, you are not burning all the fuel. Low compression will cause an incomplete burn and you will smoke up the guy behind you. You may think "well I will shave the heads, deck the block and raise the compression". Ok, figure out how to keep the heads on, the pistons on the pins, crank in the block (and not broken into pieces), not to mention seals and rings. Cheap and easy way, find a small cummins and modify the truck for it to fit.
